For how long have you been living in your current home?

Posted on Sep 1st, 2008 by Satya-Seer : Present - See me? Satya-Seer
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 01, 2008:

I've lived in my condo for just over 10 years now.  Recently a designer and decorator couple who are friends of mine decided to gift me with a complete redo of my condo, starting with lavish and luxury bedroom curtains.  Now they are working on the living area, designing, doing the work, and furnishing it for me, the majority of which they are giving to me as a their gift.  I'm the most blessed person in the world right now.

So, in a sense, my condo has been a place to park my ass until now, and now it is coming alive with an inviting space, somewhere to entertain, and somewhere house my lovely energy.  So, it is now being prepared as a palace of earthly delight.  In fact, I have dubbed it "The Palace of Earthly Delight."  All who have seen it delight in it.  I'll post pics once I get a little further along.  And get this - there is more to come.

Wherever I go is my home because that is where I am in the present moment.  I love places that are prepared beautifully with all occupants in mind.

The certainty of uncertainty . . . when not knowing is okay

Posted on Sep 14th, 2008 by Satya-Seer : Present - See me? Satya-Seer
Gosh, I'm coming up for air from the beginning of a relationship that is, for now, long distance.  (More details on that perhaps later)

But while in this new loving thing space I've really noticed how I'm so completely attached outcomes.  Don't get me wrong - I can be fully in the moment, but the projections of future usually come into play around my being in love.  Also the past comes up as well - you know, being hurt or it not looking the way I wanted it to look.

This morning I woke up and felt quite at ease with just wondering what might happen next.  I didn't really put a picture with it, or project a future that I wanted to see, but just wondered somewhat with a clear mind.  I noticed that my body, while relaxed, had a curiosity about it of living into the next questions of "And then what?"  Again, I didn't try to fill in the story, but just let my mind wander, and in this wandering I found rest.

Today it is okay for me to say "I don't know."  My question for the day is "Do I know and do I have to know?"  I can't even fill in that story either.

So, I'll just sit in the movie theatre of my mind, watching my life unfold in the most appropriate and gracious way, as it has always done just that.

All I am certain of is what appears in the moment, but then it wanders off . . . next frame . . . next frame . . . lights on . . . popcorn please.

How do you prepare for the unknown?

Posted on Sep 27th, 2008 by Satya-Seer : Present - See me? Satya-Seer
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 27, 2008:

By not preparing at all.  How can you prepare for the unknown except to drop all expectation of how it should be/look?  This is sort of a silly question - prepare for the unknown? If you are preparing for something that your not sure as to how it will look or be, then you have the expectation of knowning it, do you not? Experience arises and I experience as it arises - that's all.

What does it mean to be a saint?

Posted on Sep 28th, 2008 by Satya-Seer : Present - See me? Satya-Seer
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 28, 2008:

Could mean anything, I guess.  Depends on who is defining what "saint" means and has a lot to do with their own personal beliefs and filters in their own understanding.  Perhaps it means someone a little more along the way in some area of experience . . . broad meaning.  I don't know.
