Nope. There is always some sort of exchange of energy. Maybe a better question is this: Can things be given without conditions? And to that I would say yes. We can give without expectations of exchange, or expectations of what the fruits will look like from our givingess.

True. And giving without expectations seems to multiply the effect of that action, at least that's how I've experienced it.
